How to Use This Strategy Tester

SMA Crossover Strategy Algorithm:

This strategy uses two Simple Moving Averages (SMA):

  1. SMA Fast (shorter period): Reacts quickly to price changes
  2. SMA Slow (longer period): Smooths out price fluctuations

LONG Signal: When SMA Fast crosses ABOVE SMA Slow → BUY

SHORT Signal: When SMA Fast crosses BELOW SMA Slow → SELL

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Select Cryptocurrency: Choose from 100+ Binance cryptocurrencies (BTC, ETH, SOL, etc.)
  2. Choose Timeframe: Select from 1 minute to 1 day candles
  3. Set SMA Parameters: Adjust Fast (5-20) and Slow (20-100) periods
  4. Configure Risk Management: Set Stop Loss (1-5%) and Take Profit (2-10%)
  5. Select Trading Mode: LONG only, SHORT only, or both directions
  6. Click "Start Backtest": Wait for real data loading and testing
  7. Analyze Results: Review equity curve, trades, and statistics
  8. Export Results: Download results as text file or save chart as image

Important Notes:

Risk Management Warning:

⚠️ Important Warning about Stop Loss & Take Profit:

This tool now allows stop loss to be greater than take profit. This is a high-risk configuration that can lead to:

  • Frequent losses even with small price movements
  • Negative risk-reward ratio
  • Rapid account depletion

Recommended: Always keep Take Profit > Stop Loss for a positive risk-reward ratio.
